During
the summer of 2004, Dr. Bob Schenter and his students,
Dominique Guerrero, Zach Hontz, and Adam Blomberg
started a project using computer programs to obtain
information to construct molecular “cages” for use in medical applications.
These "cages" trap molecules that the immune system may now direct to "zap" cancer
cells while sparing healthy cells.
Dominique presented
their results at PNNL, August, 2004. Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation helps
support this work. |
