The FCCF is dedicated to raising money for new and innovative treatments via research for children’s cancer.

Through your donations, we hope to replace traditional chemotherapy-based cancer treatments with more effective and more comfortable alternatives.

Dominque Guerrero at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)

During the summer of 2004, Dr. Bob Schenter and his students, Dominique Guerrero, Zach Hontz, and Adam Blomberg started a project using computer programs to obtain information to construct molecular “cages” for use in medical applications.

These "cages" trap molecules that the immune system may now direct to "zap" cancer cells while sparing healthy cells.

Dominique presented their results at PNNL, August, 2004. Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation helps support this work.
